Dr. Katharine Woehling, better known as “Dr. Katie,” grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia. She attended The Schreyer Honors College at Penn State University. After college, she expanded her science education and entered the Post-baccalaureate Premedical Program at Bryn Mawr College. Dr. Katie went on to receive her Doctorate at The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, and further received her pediatric dental training at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia/UPENN. She has been honored to accept the 2016 American Board of Pediatric Dentistry Richard C. Pugh Achievement Award.
Dr. Katie is an active member within the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Pennsylvania Dental Association. She continues to be involved in the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine Alumni Association. During her residency, Dr. Katie conducted research about pediatric dentists’ perspectives on diagnosing and treating tongue-tie in the pediatric population.
In her spare time, Dr. Katie loves exploring Philadelphia with her friends, family, her husband, Tim, and her puppy, Derby. She enjoys traveling, delicious local food, outdoor adventures, and spending time with friends and family.
