Dr. Sara was raised in the suburbs of Northern Virginia. She attended Virginia Tech for her undergraduate training and obtained dual degrees in chemistry and flute performance. After college, she opened her own flute studio and taught children of all ages for five years.
Dr. Sara then moved to Philadelphia to pursue her doctorate in Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and earned dual honors in community oral health and radiological sciences. She completed her training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Indiana/Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis and also obtained her Master of Science in Dentistry.
Dr. Sara is an active member within the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Pennsylvania Dental Association. She is involved with the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine Alumni Association and is on the Bio-Dental Program admissions committee.
In her spare time, Dr. Sara enjoys running, going to concerts, and playing with her 6-lb chihuahua, Zoey. In the future, she hopes to start a food blog exploring the wonderful culinary scene of Philadelphia.
